We love people! And we especially love the people who work at Fix My Blinds. Enjoy getting to know us a little more.
For December, we’re happy to introduce our Chief Operations Officer, Brian. He makes all of our business systems run well and run right.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. I have been married to my best friend, Victoria, for almost seven years. We have four children: Sarah, Calvin, Grace and Daniel, who was just born in September.
I enjoy working out, reading, playing instruments (drums, piano and guitar), bowling, building things, and of course, spending time with my family.
How long have you worked at Fix My Blinds?
I’ve worked at Fix My Blinds full time since May 2010.
What do you like most about working here?
People care about each other here. We have a great team.
What are a few words you would use to describe yourself?
Thoughtful, systematic, driven, rule-follower, and sarcastic.
What is your favorite thing about Colorado?
Colorado is beautiful! I love the mountains, trees, snow, high reservoirs and fresh air.
What is on your bucket list?
Most importantly, I want my life to be a good example of a follower of Christ.
I don’t really have a bucket list. I have goals I want to accomplish such as bowling a perfect game and running a mile in under six minutes. But if those things are taken away from me tomorrow, I am confident that I would find contentment and purpose in my next adventure.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? Why?
The Redwood National Park because I am fascinated with trees.
What are some special talents/fun hobbies you have?
Out of all my hobbies, I have enjoyed bowling the most. I met my wife while she was working at a bowling alley, and we had our wedding reception in a bowling alley. Bowling is a hobby that will always be special to me. I have yet to bowl a perfect game (300), but I hold two 290’s and three 279’s.
Stay tuned for more employee spotlights!
